Learn how to create, edit, and organize size entries in your SmartSize AI Fit Recommender size tables. This guide covers all the tools and techniques for efficient size table management.
Creating Your First Size
Adding a New Size
- Navigate to Size Table: In the quiz editor, scroll to the “Size Table” section
- Click “Add Size”: Located at the bottom of the size table
- Enter Size Name: Start with the smallest size (e.g., “XS” or “0”)
- Add Measurements: Fill in the measurement ranges for your garment category
- Save Changes: Click “Save” to persist your new size
Size Entry Fields
Size Name (Required)
- Use clear, customer-friendly labels
- Follow consistent naming conventions
- Examples: XS, S, M, L, XL or 0, 2, 4, 6, 8
Measurement Ranges Depending on your garment category, you’ll see different measurement fields:
- Chest/Bust: Min and Max circumference measurements
- Waist: Min and Max waist circumference measurements
- Hip: Min and Max hip circumference measurements
Size Table Interface
Table Layout
The size table displays in a spreadsheet-like format with:
- Drag Handle: Reorder sizes using drag and drop
- Size Name: The label for each size
- Measurement Columns: Min/Max fields for each enabled measurement
- Actions: Add, duplicate, and delete options for each row
Navigation and Editing
Keyboard Navigation
- Tab: Move to next cell
- Shift + Tab: Move to previous cell
- Enter: Confirm edit and move down
- Escape: Cancel edit and revert changes
- Arrow Keys: Navigate between cells
Mouse Interaction
- Click: Select and edit any cell
- Double Click: Quick edit mode
- Drag: Reorder sizes using the drag handle
Adding Multiple Sizes
Using the Add Size Button
Add Single Size
- Click “Add Size” to add one size at the end of your table
- New size automatically gets the next rank order
- Focus moves to the size name field for immediate editing
Insert Size Between Existing Sizes
- Click the “+” button next to any existing size
- Creates a new size immediately after the selected size
- Automatically adjusts rank order for all subsequent sizes

Import Process
- Select and copy the data from your spreadsheet (without headers)
- Click the clipboard icon in the SmartSize AI Fit Recommender size table
- Click “Paste Table” to import all data at once
- Review and adjust the imported data as needed
Supported Formats
- Tab-separated values (TSV) from spreadsheets
- Only enabled measurement columns are imported
- Empty cells create undefined values (optional measurements)

Measurement Validation
Real-Time Validation
- Minimum must be less than maximum
- Values must be positive numbers
- Invalid entries are highlighted in red

❌ Min greater than max: Min 88cm, Max 85cm

Size Naming Conventions

Numerical Sizes
- Even Numbers: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18

Individual Size Actions
Duplicate Size
- Click the duplicate icon next to any size
- Creates identical copy with incremented name
- Useful for creating similar size ranges
- Manually adjust measurements after duplication
Delete Size
- Click the delete icon to remove a size
- Rank order automatically adjusts for remaining sizes
- Cannot be undone - use carefully
- Ensure at least one size remains in the table
Edit Size
- Click any cell to edit in place
- Changes are applied immediately
- Use Tab/Enter to navigate efficiently
- Escape key cancels edit and reverts changes
Bulk Operations
Copy Table
- Click the clipboard icon → “Copy Table”
- Exports current table as tab-separated values
- Can be pasted into spreadsheets for external editing
- Useful for backup or sharing with team members
Clear All Sizes
- Use bulk delete to remove multiple sizes
- Select sizes using checkboxes (if available)
- Confirm deletion to prevent accidental loss

Enabled Measurements
Measurements are automatically enabled/disabled based on garment category:
Top Garments

Range Guidelines
Overlapping Ranges Allow slight overlap between adjacent sizes for comfort:
Size S: 84-88cm chest
Size M: 87-91cm chest
Overlap: 87-88cm provides flexibility
Range Size Consistency Keep similar range sizes across all sizes:

❌ Inconsistent: Mixed 3cm and 8cm ranges
Realistic Measurements Base ranges on actual garment measurements:
- Account for fabric stretch
- Consider fit style (slim, regular, relaxed)

Quality Assurance
Pre-Save Validation
Before saving, SmartSize AI Fit Recommender validates:
- All required measurements are filled
- Minimum values are less than maximum values
- Size order is confirmed as smallest to largest
- At least one size exists in the table
Common Validation Errors
Missing Required Measurements
Error: "Minimum chest measurement is required for tops"
